We have shortened the length of our Mission Houston-required Training in Module 1. We are offering it on two different days, so you have a choice. Those of you that have mentored before—we need you there to share your experience and valuable learning. Training is required for all Whole & Healthy Children Mentors.  Here are the reasons it makes sense for all our mentors to attend:

1. 1.We are, after all, a learning community of brothers and sisters in Christ.
   

2. 2.The Mentor Manual is entirely new and is chock full of tips to make you an even better mentor.
   

3. 3.The new mentors need your valuable feedback—lessons learned, frequently asked questions, etc.
   

4. 4.The Whole & Healthy Children Initiative needs your valuable feedback.
   

5. 5.We want to share with you what we learned through last year’s survey and conversations with mentors and with school officials.

6:00-8:00PM -  required Transformational Mentor Training for all Whole & Healthy Children initiative mentors 

On-going training is vital for mentors who want to maximize their impact in the lives of the student and their family system.  For the training events to be offered during the coming school year we are looking at different venues for providing the training, including the possibility of web-based training as well as the current method of delivery. We want you to tell us what works best for you.
