Leslie Smith Resigns from Board

In a lengthy conversation with Board Chair, Jim Herrington, Leslie Smith submitted his resignation from the Board. Leslie is the Executive Director of FUUSA and an outstanding leader in the city. He has served with distinction among us and helped advance our ministry during this time on the Board.

In 2009, FUUSA is celebrating its 25th Anniversary and are engaging in a major capital fund raising program. Leslie's sense is that this is going to be a huge additional time commitment and would create a conflict of interest, attempting to raise money for two separate ministries.

With a sense of regret, we accept Leslie's resignation, and with a sense of joy, we are eager to see how God is going to advance the work of this partner ministry in our city. Blessings to you Leslie. We are eager for your success for the sake of the Kingdom.
